A Coaching Opportunity – Release your potential
We are always excited to blend coaching into RLS’ assignments. This means helping you and your team to develop. We do this by combining coaching questions, which nurture accountability and positive ways of working, with delivering the assignment in hand.
Operating as a coach is one of the ways in which we strive to approach challenges holistically. Depending on your requirements, we are delighted when we can leave your team, your organisation and you in better shape.

Choosing coaching and a good coach for you depends on your needs and goals.
Your coach might be Simon who has been an active and valued informal coach for several years to colleagues, teams and friends. More recently Simon has advanced his competence in coaching more formally, through a programme with the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). As with many things, putting hours of coaching into practice, and getting feedback is key. Simon combines coaching with mentoring, having held senior positions in small and large organisations. Simon is also a grass-roots football and running coach.
Your coach might be Nicola, a leadership coach with expertise in communication, influence, impact and change. Having spent many years in senior executive roles, and with a passion for leadership, Nicola helps to bring out the best in others by exploring what it takes to be successful in your current situation. She will challenge and support you, ensuring you have the knowledge and ability to achieve your goals and stay connected to others. Her personal values to live each day with courage, kindness & curiosity is what she will bring for you too.

Coaching is all about you! It’s a catalyst to help you to maximize your professional and personal development.
One of the things we like about the CTI’s approach is coaching the ‘whole person’ which we believe to be especially important now. The worlds of work and life having changed so much in recent years.
The Wheel of Life is one helpful model and preparation to help you to check your current state of fulfilment in eight areas of your life and we will share this with you for some thought prior to Session 1.
Free-of-charge exploratory discussion
Before Session 1 we offer a free-of-charge exploratory discussion – to learn about you, your goals and what you want from a coaching relationship. Then you can decide how to proceed. It’s enough for us to serve you in considering your coaching relationship and journey.
If your decision is to use RLS’ Coaching Programmes, here’s what to expect during the three sessions (approx. 45-60 minutes per session) Introductory Coaching Programme:
Coaching or Coaching and Mentoring?
You can decide:
1) coaching all the way - where we stimulate your thinking in finding solutions, where we can be a sounding board for your next steps. For example, establishing your most meaningful and important priorities and exploring how to approach challenges.
Or
2) coaching and mentoring – our knowledge and experience can help you. In mentorship mode, we would suggest some specific advice or actions and, when appropriate, offer some specific methods to help tackle your professional priorities.
Preparation Session
A free-of-charge exploratory discussion – to learn about you and what you want from a coaching relationship.
Session 1 (if you decide to do it after your exploratory discussion)
Defining, describing and setting goals for this coaching. Starting to explore your focus areas. Establishing a designed alliance together and agreeing commitments and actions.
Session 2
Debrief and understand how the ‘Doing’ has gone in the last month (or since session 1). During this session we will focus on Being also. This means stepping back from the details and exploring some of your experiences since Session 1.
Session 3
The essence of what is important to you, the bottom line and the approach around developing from now. Feedback on this early access coaching program.
Afterwards
This is entirely up to you, you can leave it at this or meet from time to time if it brings you value and is helpful.
